Airbus Garbage, doen't let the pilot fly the plane the way it should in a crosswind- Won't let you cross control with wing down and opposite rudder.

He has got to do a full round..
jackinator11 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

The pilot try crosswind land no "declared a missed approach and go round"
ILoveMyTail (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
is not. haha.
no, seriously, although i've never piloted a real airplane, i think he should have declared a missed approach and go round. he banked left after touching down, should not have done that

Das ging beinahe in die Hose...xD
plastabrick (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Oh and one more thing Bud... there was no landing, the pilot buggered off to another airport, landed, and went into the lounge bar for a Jack Daniels no ice ....... Straight.

Actually in this extreme case you would use rudder 'as required' to aid in keeping the Aircraft 'Tracking' Straight, and touch down in a slightly crossed up configuration if nessecary. If the Pilot had applied rudder to keep the long axis inline with centreline, he would have drifted out of view to the left.. Are you just out of Flying school ? |
