This match never gets old. Brought back so many memories. SL middle order was simply unstoppable with the likes of Aravinda, Arjuna, Roshan and Hashan. You could always rely on one of them at least getting us to a good score. Sadly, we can't put together a middle order such as this now. Once Sanga or Mahela gets out we don't have a consistent player who will play those special knocks consistently.

ponting has been weak against offspin throughout his career. see how tamely he got out 2 aravinda. wonder how he wud hav performed against warne if he had been in another team

It was great to see Sri Lanka do so well and fulfill its cricket ability. Sporting success is a way that impoverished, third world, war torn countries can unite and help themselves. Bring back more Sri Lankan World Cup success.

After so many years and after seeing so many Sri Lankan cricketers coming and leaving, no player matches the solidity that Aravinda maintains, when playing his cricket shots. So sad that he never got the respectable retirement that he really deserved.
